Coal Prices Update
Spring is currently in full swing and when you think about it, it’s getting mightily close to summer. It’s at this time of year that we are currently hard at work negotiating our summer coal prices.
We do however have both good and bad news. The good news is that our Colombian Coal range is set to reduce in price. There will be more information about this in due course so keep a look out!
Now on to the bad news. With the recent closure of the Kellingley mine it now means that the one remaining mine, Garlaffan, will unfortunately be increasing prices of coal between now and winter.
We estimate that the increase will be somewhere in the region of £30 – £40 per tonne. However, we are not taking this lightly and are currently looking at sourcing a new, cost effective, high quality alternative to the Scottish product, with more news to follow in due course.
This leads us onto our current stock. We still have a limited stock of the Scottish Coal available and a prudent buyer would be well advised to take advantage of these current prices while the remaining stock lasts.
We are always committed to providing high quality products at the best possible prices and we make a point of passing any savings possible onto you, the customer.
If you would like any more information regarding the current Scottish Coal or the other products in our range, please get in touch.
