How We Deliver

At Housefuel, we send out hundreds of orders each week using one of two methods, which are explained in detail below.  Regardless of the method used please be aware that:

  • You can choose your preferred delivery day during check-out and we will do our best to deliver on this day.
  • Providing us with your email address, means we will be able to keep you updated on your delivery, including any changes or delays.
  • Delivery is Free to most mainland UK postal codes.  However, some postal codes will incur a delivery charge which will be calculated and added during checkout.
  • Our standard delivery is to kerbside only.  Any further is at the discretion of the driver making the delivery.  You do not need to be at home for delivery to take place.
  • Delivery is made in a wide range of vehicles up to 26 Tonne lorries, which are similar in size to a Rubbish Collection Truck.  These vehicles are over 30 feet long and 8 feet wide with a correspondingly wide turning circle and therefore may struggle to reach some domestic homes. Please tell us at the time of placing your order of any restrictions that may limit access.  Failure to tell us may result in you incurring an additional delivery charge.
  • Housefuel Limited reserve the right to choose the delivery method used

We will complete delivery using one or other of the delivery methods described below.
Method 1:  Palletised Delivery using a tail lift vehicle and hand pump truck.

How We Deliver Our Fuel

Orders are delivered on a tail lift truck; once the pallet is lowered, the goods are manoeuvred to the kerbside at the front of your property using a hand pump-truck.  Occasionally, deliveries can be taken onto the driveway if it is a flat concrete/tarmac surface with no gradient. This is at the driver’s discretion on the delivery day and whether they deem it safe and reasonable to do so. Drivers are typically very accommodating and help meet our customers' requirements as best they can.

Method 2: Hand Delivery of the individual plastic bags.

Orders are delivered on a normal truck, with bags being carried by hand off the vehicle and stacked at the kerbside.  Often the bags can be taken further and stacked in a position more convenient to the customer.  However, this is at the Driver’s discretion on the day, and whether they deem it safe and reasonable to do so. Drivers are typically very accommodating and help meet our customers' requirements as best they can.  Please note that a pallet is not supplied as part of this delivery method.
