HouseFuel Premium Coal is a great, cost-effective fuel for open fires.
This is the highest quality coal available on the market. It provides incredibly high heat output with very little ash, reducing cleaning time.
HouseFuel Premium Coal provides high radiant heat with a beautiful flame helping to make the fireplace the centrepiece of any room.
Doubles and trebles do not relate to the quality of the coal. Instead, they are an approximation of size. Typically doubles are 25-50mm, whilst trebles are 50-90mm.

Delivery Service for House Coal
With a change in legislation, effective the 1st May 2021, House Coal in England can only be delivered in open sacks by an Approved Coal Merchant. Our usual pallet delivery service can’t do this, so we’ve put in place an alternative method to have your Coal hand-delivered:
When you order House Coal, the fuel will be delivered by hand in 25kg Plastic Bags.
Our delivery partner will leave the House Coal in a safe place on your property or were directed to (if safe and reasonable to do so).
The House Coal can be tipped into a suitable coal bunker or store, and the empty bags will be taken away for recycling.
Alternatively, the House Coal can remain in the bags. However, please note that the bags will be cut open before our delivery partner leaves your premises to comply with the new legislation.
Delivery Time is within five working days of order.
You do not need to be at home for delivery to take place.
All postcodes will incur a delivery charge which will be added during the checkout.

The Columbian Doubles

The Columbian Doubles are an excellent coal, easily ordered, and swiftly delivered by a very helpful driver. It burns fairly clean and hot, with little smoke or smell once it's going. (What a contrast to some costlier house coal brands, that stink, and fur up your chimney, all for miserable heat output!)

fabulous service delivered on time fabulous delivery driver very helpful i had smokeless ovals and scottish doubles and both my fires last night were roaring super quality coal and great prices the only downside was me having at 60 years old to get all the coal in but that wonderful delivery driver did bring them onto car park which was so helpful to me

Winter coming to and end soon hopefully, and having purchased a full pallet of scottish coal doubles last August am writing to say how pleased we have been with the product . We have a tradition fireplace and have quite a lot of fires in what is quite a large grate . We currently have 9 bags left which should see us through easily and at the price we bought it for has been extremely good value . Will definately buy from you again ....many thanks ....Clive
