HouseFuel Premium Coal is a great, cost-effective fuel for open fires.
This is the highest quality coal available on the market. It provides incredibly high heat output with very little ash, reducing cleaning time.
HouseFuel Premium Coal provides high radiant heat with a beautiful flame helping to make the fireplace the centrepiece of any room.
Doubles and trebles do not relate to the quality of the coal. Instead, they are an approximation of size. Typically doubles are 25-50mm, whilst trebles are 50-90mm.

Delivery Service for House Coal
With a change in legislation, effective the 1st May 2021, House Coal in England can only be delivered in open sacks by an Approved Coal Merchant. Our usual pallet delivery service can’t do this, so we’ve put in place an alternative method to have your Coal hand-delivered:
When you order House Coal, the fuel will be delivered by hand in 25kg Plastic Bags.
Our delivery partner will leave the House Coal in a safe place on your property or were directed to (if safe and reasonable to do so).
The House Coal can be tipped into a suitable coal bunker or store, and the empty bags will be taken away for recycling.
Alternatively, the House Coal can remain in the bags. However, please note that the bags will be cut open before our delivery partner leaves your premises to comply with the new legislation.
Delivery Time is within five working days of order.
You do not need to be at home for delivery to take place.
All postcodes will incur a delivery charge which will be added during the checkout.
Great service fast delivery and 5 out of 5. Go for the triples they last longer and much better than doubles trust me

We ordered Columbian
We ordered Columbian Doubles. Easy process, decent price and service was slick throughout - with regular updates and delivery was bang on time. Driver courteous and came home to expect them on a pallet - but they were neatly stacked where we wanted them. A few bags did pop (as they are so full :-)), but hats off to customer services for listening!

Very please with
Very please with the Colombian doubles coal and price for a 40 bag pallet. One down side was the delivery;
I placed the order on a Saturday for delivery the following Wednesday.
I phoned first thing on Monday morning to explain that a smaller 7.5 ton lorry would be required as that was the maximum size my driveway could take. The man I spoke to said he would pass it on. On Wednesday an 18.5 ton lorry arrived, the driver said there had been no special instruction for delivery. The driver did his best but could only get the pallet part way down my drive (which was now blocking a right of way), the driver left. I have arthritis and have mobility issues but had now to clear a right of way which was now blocking 3 cars. With the help of my unwell 70 year old neighbour we slowly moved 1.10 ton of coal 75 feet to where I wanted it delivered. I am still suffering as a result although the delivery was 5 days ago and wouldn't be able to do this ever again. You need to capture delivery issues as part of the order process. I would like to order from you again but would need an assurance that the delivery would be in a vehicle that could access my property.

My only unhappy part of your second delivery (one ton of Scottish doubles) was the sad fact that after I had ordered, paid and stacked all 40 bags I then discovered an offer from you on the computer which I had completely overlooked with a discount. Never mind, my fault, next year I will be more vigilant! Your Scottish doubles are superb and a pleasure to bask in front of. Delivery is superb as well. After paying local coal merchant's prices (over double) I am a very happy old pensioner. Thank you
